Cut the foils and cotton into smaller pieces
  • cotton pads (into quarter sizes)
  • foils (roughly square about 2 inches by 2 inches or 6 cm by 6 cm)

  • wet the quarter sized cotton pads with nail polish remover
  • position it on top of nail

  • use sized down foils to wrap around nail

  • fold in the edges to help secure

  • repeat with other fingers

  • pull off  while pressing down on the nail after ten minutes
It takes of about 98 % of the polishes and glitters, but easy final clean up is needed.
Its an easy way to take off glitter polishes that usually takes about an hour with all the rubbing for me :P

I have heard the white glue method, but I am a bit reluctant to try as I am worried that it ll come off while food prep...

dreamy stars ~*

Dreamy stars
I used previous manicure as a base to create this look
The pattern is made with:
  • Konad white polish
  • Konad plate m84
  • Konad stamper and scraper
I loved the jelly, adding stars to it just feels right. What do you think?

ombre / gradient nails ~pretty easy nail pictorial 20

I know there are a few methods to doing an ombre or the gradient look, and this is the method that I adapted and find is the easiest to get a pretty transition without too many steps.
What you ll need (varies based on the number of colors):
  • base nail polish color
  • second transition nail polish color
  • sponge
  • shimmer and/or top coat polish
Hence the easiest :) all you really need is a sponge if you already have nail polishes
wear base coat to protect nails from color stainage
  1. paint your nails with a base color nail polish (and let dry)
  2. paint both colors on sponge
  3. dab the colors (a few times, dont worry if its stubtle) onto each nail (add polish onto sponge when needed, once you go through all the nails it will dry a little bit)
  4. dab the colors (a second time to increase the pigment concentration) onto each nail (repeat dabbing colors cycling through the nails to increase pigments)
  5. apply shimmers or top coat polish
  6. pose (hahah, if you like)
apply top coat to give an extra shine and durability
I hope you enjoyed my pictorial and find it helpful
I would also love to see image replies of your nails did, when you try ombre or gradient nails with this method and let me know what you think

using:
  • grey polish (sheer/jelly)
  • silver glitter polish
  • rhinestones
  • sponge
paint base coat to minimize color staining
  1. use sponge to dab some grey polish ideally about a bit over halfway onto nail (let dry, go onto the next nail, by the time you are finish with all five fingers, it should be dried enough)
  2. re-dab more polishes about a little under the first dabs to create a gradient look (if you want more opaque on the tips)
  3. paint a glitter polish (covering just bit over the first of grey polishes)
  4. re-dab more polishes under the glitters (to create a semi-transparent look)
  5. apply top coat as glue to hold rhinestones (use a toothpick to touch a bit of top coat to make it sticky to pick up the rhinestones)
apply top coat again to secure the rhinestones, adding shine and durability
this look is quite easy to wear with a lot of glam!
